The Network: fixed and ready!

I fixed my slight goof in "The Network." Sorry about that. Just goes to show that an actual human being is writing and publishing these stories. :-)

I had so much fun writing this one. I include lots of action and suspense and revealed some new information about Hope's role.

Story 6 will reveal even more -- I've already started writing it.

Click here (or on the giant cover) to read The Network today!

To kill, or not to kill?

OK, folks. I'm having a debate with myself whether to kill someone off in story 5 ... or not.

The characters are at a point where things are serious. VERY serious. If you've read Blood Line Zero, then you know what I'm talking about.

So what should I do? Kill someone? Or not?

Of course, I can't reveal who I'm talking about because that would give too much away. If any of you read Harry Potter -- not that I'm J.K. Rowling -- then you know the author had no problem killing off some pretty major characters.

(SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN'T READ HP: Dumbledore?? And Hedwig?? Sheesh.)

Tell me what you think about authors killing off key characters in their books!

My first video review!

I was so excited to see my first video review on Amazon for "Pandora," the first story in The Pandora Chronicles.

Click on the photo, and you'll be able to watch it!

Minna Bryant -- who also won my contest to have a character named after her in story 5 -- posted it. That is sooooo awesome!

Minna, if you're reading this, stories 5 and 6 will be coming to Kindle in Jan. :-) I know, I need to write faster. Thank you so much!

"Pandora": The newest review on Amazon

"Maggie creates such a completely paranoid world that you need to run to get the next story to help solve this satiating puzzle, just so you won't lie awake an night wondering where it is going next. Futuristic books somtimes get too clinical, but with Pandora, Maggie keeps her characters grounded in reality and emotion as they struggle with the unfathomable. Sorry, I have to go and see what happens next."

It's a revolution

It's a "go": my Amazon Author Page is now live, right here: www.amazon.com/author/maggiewaters.

My author page lists everything I publish, all in one place. Easy-peasy.

I'm excited to be part of the self-publishing revolution. By reading my books and others by self-published authors, you're part of the revolution, too.

(Cue The Beatles song here!)

Thank you, as always, for your support. And happy reading.

Have you read "Pandora" yet?

Pandora, by Maggie Waters: www.amazon.com/dp/B008Y7WFB8
Here's what one of my readers has to say (and no, I do not know this person!):

The Pandora Chronicles are off to a great start with this first book, Pandora, which is the perfect introduction to what I think will be an amazing series. The story is incredibly intriguing and I couldn't put it down. The futuristic world that Maggie has created is interesting, extremely believable, and terrifying. The main characters are engaging, thoughtful and very adventurous. Hope and Jake quickly captured my heart and I'm looking forward to finding out what's in store for them.

I highly recommend this new series to anyone who enjoys reading about what life could be like in the future. Pandora is a quick read, yet it left me pondering about the future of our own world and what the possibility of this future could be for us, as well as anxious to know what happens to Hope and Jake. I can't wait for the next one!

"Blood Line Zero" is with the editor!

Oh yeah, baby! Story 4 of The Pandora Chronicles, called "Blood Line Zero," is now with the editor for a review before it's published ....

which also means the cover will be posted soon ...

and then I will get the whole shebang up on Amazon for you ...

and I'll start writing story 5!

Right now, I know there will be at least 7 stories, total, in The Pandora Chronicles. Possibly 8.

So you have a few more episodes to go with Hope and Jake. :-)

Kindle Fires are smokin' hot

They don't ship until around Thanksgiving, but the new Kindle Fire models look pretty dang hot. Especially at these price points:

• original Kindle Fire with longer battery life, more RAM, faster processor: $159
• 7-inch Kindle Fire HD with 16GB of storage: $199
• 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD, ditto the storage: $299
• 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD with 32GB of storage plus a bunch of other add-ons (major storage space in the Cloud): $499

Think they wanna compete with the iPad, folks? I'm going to save my pennies or, better yet, ask Santa for one for Christmas. (I may be on his "bad girls" list, though. I'd better straighten up, and fast.)

Get "Amazon Mom"

... and you can borrow books for free. That is, if you have time to read. And by the way, is that service only for very tall moms? I'm guessing not.
